In this People's Choice Award winner, Golden Globes nominated Brooke Shields makes her television debut as Susan Keane, an eligible 29-year-old ready for love, marriage and children. It all seems perfect until she ditches her wealthy but boring fiancée Kip Richmond in the middle of their wedding ceremony. Free and single, she embarks on a journey to find her own identity, both personally and professionally. Susan is hired to write a column at The Gate - a San Francisco newspaper. Her column, entitled “Suddenly Susan”, is Susan’s account of being a single and eligible young woman in the city. It seems like a dream job, but what she doesn’t count on is working for Jack Richmond, her ex-fiancée’s brother! To complicate matters further, an attraction develops between employee and boss – who is also married! Added to the mayhem is the sarcastic commentary from Susan's best gal pal Vicki (played by the super-sassy Kathy Griffin).
Young ... beautiful ... and ready for a brand new life, Susan learns that finding yourself really can be a laughing matter. Love, sex and making it on your own get a fresh new look in this lively comedy full of dating disasters, family squabbles, co-worker choas and lots more fun!
