Martial arts star Chuck Norris made his transition to the small screen with the action-packed television drama Walker, Texas Ranger. Lasting for nine seasons the long-running series followed the crime-fighting adventures of Cordell Walker, a contemporary Texas Ranger working out of the Dallas office who believed in dealing with criminals the “old-fashioned way”. Despite the rules that governed the way law-enforcement officers were supposed to act, Walker's approach closely resembled the "eye for an eye" school of crime fighting.
His partner, James Trivette, has a more modern approach to crime-fighting using modern technology. C.D. Parker, a retired Ranger, and Alex Cahill, the county assistant district attorney supports the Rangers in their battle to serve justice.
Executive Producer as well as star, Chuck Norris is a 6-time World Karate Champion and action movie star who often trained with Bruce Lee, his skill in the martial arts feature in the energetic fight scenes in Walker, Texas Ranger. Norris also portrays Walker in his straight-talking style he famously employed in his feature films. Walker, Texas Ranger brought Norris to an even greater audience in this Primetime Emmy nominated hit.
